About the wine
There is always something left over from Easter dinner. Do you know that? Why not invite your friends to a glass of wine in the afternoon to enjoy the festive meal again and we recommend this hearty Trincadeira 2015 — Cartuxa DOC Alentejo. Sunny and picturesque landscapes of the Alentejo give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Portuguese winery Adega da Cartuxa conjures up this red wine with refinement and experience. Flaschenpost team promises a culinary experience if you offer this Trincadeira with grilled meats or game.

Tasting note
Strong medium garnet red. A nice bouquet with cassis and elderberry, but also ripe raspberries. The well-proportioned body appears supple — an effect of the strong cocoa notes and the spicy elderberry taste. This is followed by an intense, consistent finish.

Vinification
The grapes are destemmed, gently pressed and fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature, longer maceration. Ageing: twelve months in large and small oak barrels, plus a bottle aging of 9 months before the wine is released for sale.
