About the wine
The domain of Château Montrose, in the municipality of Saint-Estèphe in the Médoc, comprises 94 hectares of vines, which are planted around the castle. The château was built in 1815 by Etienne Théodore Dumoulin. Very soon, the wines were appreciated by wine lovers, thanks to their specific character and their long shelf life. Today Château Montrose, after the Dollfus and Hostein families, is owned by the Charmolüe family. Montrose wines are among the most renowned in Bordeaux.

Tasting note
The deep purple black color of this classic Montrose is impressive. The wine has an exceptionally full, overripe plum and cassis fruit, mixed with smoke, minerals and spices. It appears almost sweet (due to maturity, not sugar content) and has a medium to full body with a clearly marked personality.
Culinary recommendation
Our recommendation: The red wine tastes best at a slightly chilled 16°-18°C. The following period is the ideal enjoyment phase of this wine: 2028-2055. Flaschenpost team recommends Flaschenpost team with red meat, ribeye steak and pizza with mushrooms.
