About the wine
You can describe the landscape in Catalonia with words such as barren. However, the Spanish winery Clos d’Agon is trying to express the beauty of its homeland with this red wine. We think he succeeded successfully! The Flaschenpöstler promise a culinary experience when you serve this Cabernet Sauvignon with ribeye steak or Gruyère burger.
Tasting note
Blue berries, spices, mocha and vanilla, harmoniously balanced, impress the nose. Good build, demonstrating strength and elegance. To be enjoyed with a well-seasoned piece of grilled meat right now.
Culinary recommendation
Our recommendation: The perfect drinking temperature for red wine is a slightly chilled 16°-18°C. The wine should be enjoyed during this period: 2027 to 2042. Flaschenpöstler tip: Clos d'Agon Tinto DO Catalunya goes perfectly with pizza with mushrooms, Gruyère burgers and ribeye steak.
Vinification
The classic French grape varieties were planted as early as the 1980s. Only 40% of new oak barriques from France are used for the 17-month aging process. Wonderful fruit with a slightly smoky flavor and the barrique note thus create a very pleasant harmony.
