Tasting note
The Côtes de Bourg AOP Le Roc de Château Puybarbe's playful scent spectrum of fruit compote, spices and tobacco shows aromatic complexity and plenty of pleasure potential. The dominant nuances of black cherry, black plum and black pepper shape their individual texture. With subdued, pleasantly developed tannins, a strong body and dominant acidity, this fruity red wine shows its flawless texture.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with dark meats (entrecote, venison, lamb), grilled meats and spicy mature cheese.
Vinification
5 days of cold maceration, followed by temperature-controlled fermentation and 60 days of extraction. The maturation takes place for 12 months in French barrique (3rd filling). The wine is stored in the bottle for another 12 months.
