About the wine
If you are looking for something special, then you shouldn't miss out on this dominant red wine 2013 — Hussonet Cabernet Sauvignon Gran Reserva. With experience and intuition, the winemaker from the Chilean winery Haras de Pirque masters this red wine in the sunny and beautiful landscape of the Valle Central. Flaschenpost team tip: Combine this Cabernet Sauvignon with red meat or pizza with mushrooms.

Tasting note
Varietal aromas on the nose. Cassis, cedar, tobacco and green peppers. Dark ruby red. On the palate, with medium acidity and round tannins. The “Hussonet” is characterized by enormous elegance and impressive complexity. Digestible and drinkable. The motto of combining viticulture and horse breeding is even reflected in the building shape of the winery's horseshoe. This wine was named after the top horse of the breed.
Culinary recommendation
Our recommendation: The perfect drinking temperature for the red wine is slightly chilled 16°-18°C. The wine should be enjoyed during this period: 2016-2022. Recommended by Flaschenpöstlern: Hussonet Cabernet Sauvignon Gran Reserva goes perfectly with Gruyère burgers, ribeye steak and red meat.
Vinification
Pirque, famous wine-growing region in the Chilean Maipo Valley, is home to the best Chilean red wines, in particular Cabernet Sauvignon, and is regarded worldwide as the growing region of quality wines of the best quality. The traditional house Antinori from Tuscany could not shut itself off from the reputation that precedes this region. The Hussonet is hand-harvested. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, then aged for 12-14 months in French barriques.
