Cascina Morassino is a small winery in the heart of Barbaresco in the province of Cuneo. There, the grapes grow at around 270 meters above sea level on clayey, limestone marl soil. The grapes of this red wine come from Ovello, an absolute top location in Barbaresco, but where Nebbiolo is mainly grown. A special place that is not actually known for Merlot, but the vines were planted back in the 90s and therefore produce particularly well-structured and finesse Merlot wines. This Langhe impresses with its fresh fruit and the stimulating acidity, which makes the wine very drinkable. A wine that is simply fun! With its opulent, rich plum aroma and light but well-structured tannin, it is also a real tip for the barbecue season.
