About the wine
Emil Strickler is the name of the man who pressed himself to Portugal's top in less than 20 years. The Swiss has owned the relatively small winery since 1998. Better to produce a little, but conscientiously.
Tasting note
Beautiful, bright ruby red. Intense bouquet, reminiscent of red fruits, cherries, flowers and a bit of cigar tobacco. Melty and rich on the palate, fine and mild tannin, generally more on the soft, pleasant side, yet quite powerful. Nice, long-lasting palate fruit with a hint of tobacco and roasted aromas.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with grilled meats, pork cutlets, vegetables, rice dishes and spicy sausages.
