Moscato d'Asti DOCG 2023 - Paolo Saracco

About the wine

In 1987, the dynamic Paolo Saracco began bottling the Moscato grapes, which his father had produced for 40 years, for the first time as Moscato d'Asti. Back then, he just cultivated the 7 hectares that his great-grandfather had purchased. The way in which he pressed the sparkling Moscato d'Asti was new and only made possible by the then ultra-modern cellar technology. That was the start of a success story. Today, Paolo Saracco owns 35 hectares, which he has purchased over the years at the best locations at around 400 m above sea level and which are all planted with Moscato. He now bottles 350,000 bottles of Moscato d'Asti every year, which are loved all over the world. The name Saracco is now one of the absolute top Moscato producers.

Tasting note
Pure, aromatic nutmeg fruit with floral notes, fresh, gently sparkling, full body, intense aroma, long finish and a perfect balance between sweetness and acidity. Sweet but not sticky, light but not insignificant. A refreshing, tempting delicacy from Piedmont. Moscato at its best!
Culinary recommendation
Vinification
Alcoholic fermentation in a pressure tank up to an alcohol content of approx. 4.5% vol. The semi-fermented grape must is then cooled down to —3° C and microfiltered before bottling so that the residual sugar and yeast do not initiate secondary fermentation in the bottle.
