About the wine
The winemaker from the Italian winery Ghizzano has absolutely mastered his craft. Style and refinement are the characteristics of this red wine, which originates in the flourishing and fertile Tuscan countryside. With the provocative Merlot 2015 — Nambrot Costa Toscana IGT wooden box, nuances and accents are redefined. The Flaschenpöstler guarantee a culinary experience when you serve this Merlot with slightly spicy red meat or duck.
Tasting note
The history of Tenuta di Ghizzano dates back to the 14th century, when the Venerosi Pesciolini family began producing wine. Already the Father of the current boss, Ginevra Venerosi Pesciolini, has begun to give the wines a face and from the trivial concept of Chianti Colli Pisani, who here official appeal to break out. As early as the nineties, he had Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and other “modern” grape varieties planted and began to press exciting wines. Ginevra definitely made the breakthrough with wines such as Veneroso and Nambrot, by optimising the finest details in the vineyard and in the cellar and, last but not least, finding the perfect balance between the grape variety. Thanks to her high level of professionalism, she also managed to get the winery certified as an organic producer, which has also helped the wines to express their personality and character even more strongly. Sangiovese also grows Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon in particular, Nambrot is characterized by sophisticated cut, powerful structure, crystal-clear, precise. Juicy melt, long-lasting on palate.
