About the wine
Give yourself and your guests joy for the senses with the delicious Nest Egg Shiraz from 2013! Beautiful and sunny landscapes in South Australia give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Australian winery Bird In Hand conjures up this red wine with refinement and sensitivity.

Tasting note
The Shiraz has a dark, deep red color. The bouquet is concentrated and complex, with aromas of ripe blackberries and black pepper, as well as hints of floral notes such as violets and black olives. Fine tannins and the freshness of the Adelaide Hills give a rich structure that combined with the fully ripe Shiraz aroma makes this wine an experience.

Vinification
Only the best grapes from the respective vintage come into the Nest Egg wines. The best Shiraz plots are selected, picked by hand and fermented with a 50% share of whole grapes in small, open fermentation vats. In order to get the best out of each vineyard, the plots are vinified and aged separately. Only before filling, winemaker Kym Milne cuvets the plots together to create the nest egg. The wine is left on the skins for 12 days and then aged in specially selected barriques for 20 months (76% virgin wood).
