Rotenberg Riesling GG 2021 - Gut Hermannsberg

About the wine

The winery can look back on an eventful history. But it wasn't until Jens Reidel and Christine Dinse took over the estate in 2009, made Karsten Peter a winemaker and turned everything upside down, that we are back to the glorious times of the 1960s to 1980s. Gut Hermannsberg only owns large vineyards and there is hardly a winery in Germany that has such an abundance and variety of prime locations. Even the entry-level Riesling clearly shows that this potential is being fully exploited. This is no longer a secret and Gut Hermannsberg is literally overwhelmed with lots of praise, points and awards.

Tasting note
Princess in the dark ages. That is the coolness of the stones, this tart side, this solitude in elegance and beauty, the bright fruits, the light almost glittering, the transparency, but barely warming, and then precious luck slowly appears, the fruit slowly becomes warmer, darker, even red berries, now more human, more secure, creamy, a very delicate touch of vanilla and coconut. On the palate, again this fascinating fragile elegance, almost repulsive coolness, light-tart fruit, the very present, tart yet feminine minerality, a delicate yet demanding creature, transparent and elegant, tart, of a very particular fine stature, slender, bright, tart freshness. Anyone who advertises for them will be rewarded enough! Precious!
