About the wine
I Luoghi is a small up-and-coming wine producer from the DOC zone Bolgheri. The Azienda is located in Castagneto Carducci (LI), very authentic wines are vinified on 3.5 ha of vineyards. Under the leadership of Stefano Granata, who in 2000 decided to become a winegrower more from an impulse than from market analysis considerations, I Luoghi only produces around 15,000 bottles a year. Yields are deliberately kept very low (approx. 450 520 gr. per m²). Without compromise, wines are produced here that reflect the characters of the people involved, quality is not simply a goal but a result of the unconditional commitment of Stefano Granata and his people.
Tasting note
Slightly ethereal nose, tertiary aromas and cherry compote. The palate shows aromas of fresh herbs and delicate dark chocolate, with the wine having a great fullness in the mouth. The tannins present are fine-grained, with the wine ending with a long finish. A great masterpiece by Stefano and Paola!
Culinary recommendation
Flaschenpöstler-Tipp: Goes great with red meat, ribeye steak and Gruyère burgers.
