About the wine
The castle of Auvernier is one of the links between former and present size. In 1914, 400 bottles of Pinot noir Château d'Auvernier from 1911 were emptied on the occasion of the anniversary of the Prussian Guard. Today's lord of the castle, Thierry Grosjean, is initiative and cosmopolitan, and his wines are also highly appreciated abroad.
1 - 3 years after harvest
Tasting note
Strong and aromatic scent, typical of the Sauvignon grape variety. Notes of citrus, mango and white flowers. On the palate, full of freshness, powerful and rich.
Culinary recommendation
It is the ideal aperitif wine, it accompanies hors d'oeuvres very well, but has a special affinity for fish dishes, white meat and fondues. with white wine sauce.
