About the wine
Kerner originated in Lauffen am Neckar in the state teaching and research institute for wine and fruit growing based there. In 1929, red Trollinger and white Riesling were crossed by vine researcher August Herold. Landolt was the first to plant the Kerner in Switzerland in the 90s.
