About the wine
The graceful and fertile landscapes of the Coastal region give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the South African winery Gabrielskloof conjures up this red wine with refinement and sensitivity. If we can offer something special for Christmas 2018, it's this powerful Shiraz 2015 Syrah on Shale. Flaschenpöstler tip: Combine this shiraz with game or roasted vegetables.

Tasting note
This is a tight and intense vintage of a wine that gains gravity from year to year. Red and black currants, blueberries, dark chocolate, violets and rainbow peppers are present on the nose. This concentrated fruit is accompanied by star anise and black olives, which both unfold as the wine shakes off its initial timidity. The grippy, fresh tannins promise a long shelf life.

Excellent with hearty meat dishes.
