Uva Mira The Mira Cabernet Sauvignon 2017 - Uva Mira Mountain Vineyards

About the wine

There is something left over from Christmas dinner every year. Do you know that? Why not invite your friends to a glass of wine in the afternoon to enjoy the festive meal once again and we recommend this dominant red wine 2016 — Uva Mira The Mira Cabernet Sauvignon. Beautiful and fertile landscapes of the Coastal Region give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the South African winery Uva Mira Mountain Vineyards conjures up this red wine with refinement and experience. Culinary tip from Flaschenpost team: This Cabernet Sauvignon can be served very well with pizza with mushrooms or Gruyère burgers.

Tasting note
With a deep ruby red color in the glass, the Uva Mira The Mira Cabernet Sauvignon presents itself with a bouquet of fragrant cherry tobacco, fine minerality and perfume-like hints of fine floral aromas that beguile the senses. On the palate, a first-class example of graceful finesse and elegance with impressive complexity and depth. Its chalky and silky tannins, well-integrated oak notes and a subtle earthy creaminess round off the enjoyment perfectly and caress the palate with delicious nuances of red cherries, juicy plums and pencil chips.
Culinary recommendation
Drink this wine with a rack of lamb with mint and cassis with bacon beans.
Vinification
The wine farms of Helderberg Annandale belong to the Golden Triangle, an area known for noble grape varieties and in particular Cabernet Sauvignon. Our Cabernet Sauvignon vines are planted on the warmer, lower slopes of the estate. A wine of sovereignty, possessed of genuine elegance and polished tannins. The Cabernet Sauvignon was aged for 18 months in 50% new French oak barrels.
