About the wine
Santiago Gracia Ysiegas founded the winery Bodegas Solar de Urbezo in 1995. He chose the name Urbezo in honor of the well-known painter Antonio Urbezo, who was born in Carineña. The grapes come from the vineyards of the Gracia-Campillo family and are a guarantee of purity and quality. Carineña is one of the oldest wine-growing regions in Spain. The Romans already cultivated wine here and the historical heritage still plays an important role in everyday life and in the economy of the region today.
Tasting note
Bright color with aromas of violets, rose petals, balsamic, licorice and berries such as raspberry, blackberry, cherry and plum. The palate is soft, wide and tasty.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with chicken, smoked fish and pasta.
Vinification
Grenache: produced by carbonic fermentation. Syrah: Made using the conventional method. Fermentation at a controlled temperature at 26 °C for 12 days, then aged in stainless steel tanks.
