About the wine
St. Michael-Eppan is a cooperative consisting of 350 winegrowers and is one of the largest and most successful wineries in South Tyrol. Despite its size, quality has been paramount since it was founded in 1907, which is why it is now one of the best winegrowers' cooperatives in the world. The winery has been managed by the outstanding oenologist Hans Terzer since 1977.
Tasting note
This Chardonnay has never seen a barrique from the inside. This concentration on pure fruit gives the glass an intense scent of tropical fruits, bergamot and ripe apples; fresh and clear on the palate, fruity and persistent, with elegant notes right through to the fine finish.
Culinary recommendation
The patio wine for warm summer evenings. It is ideal for starters such as porcini mushroom carpaccio, light cuisine and pasta fredda — the Italian pasta salad.
Vinification
Fermentation and partial acid degradation in steel tanks.
