About the wine
With experience and intuition, the winemaker from the Italian winery Marco Secondo masters this red wine in the fertile and enchanting landscape in Veneto. If you're looking for something special, don't miss out on this dominant Corvina 2009 — Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOC. Culinary tip from Flaschenpost team: This Corvina can be served very well with roast meat or game.
Tasting note
Power and balance: Intense ruby red. On the nose, notes of Amarena cherries, plums and spices. On the palate, the wine is complex, warm and velvety.
Culinary recommendation
This rich Amarone is recommended with Primi Piatti with spicy sauces, meat and game dishes, risottos, sausages and aged cheeses.
Vinification
Hand picked with selection of the best grapes. This is followed by drying for 120 days. Maceration on the grape skins for 45 days. Ageing for 42 months in barrels of 50 hl, maturation in bottle for at least 12 months before sale.
