A must for connoisseurs, this outstanding Sangiovese 2010 — Amarone Selezione Sergio Zenato della Valpolicella Riserva DOC! The winemaker from the Italian winery Zenato has absolutely mastered his craft. Style and finesse are the hallmarks of this red wine, which originates in the beautiful and fertile landscape in Veneto. Culinary tip from Flaschenpost team: This Sangiovese is excellent to serve with beef or pizza.
Tasting note
Strong, sparkling red with a slight brown reflection and a fine water rim. Aroma of cooked sour cherry, wild berries, cedarwood and a subtle caramel note. Voluminous at the start with beautiful fullness, fine-grained tannins with great potential, which already integrate and support the structure. Full-bodied with a long, rich finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with game dishes, beef stroganoff and recent cheeses.
Vinification
Slow fermentation, completed for 30 months in Slovenian barriques - one-year bottle aging.
