About the wine
Like his ancestors, the Ticino Guido Brivio became a wine merchant. As he had a passionate interest in the production of local wines, he founded his own brand in the 80s with a wide range of wines from the Sottoceneri region.
Tasting note
A typical representative of the wine-growing region in Tessin. Rich, slightly purple color. Warm, savory scent of ripe berries. Full flavor on the palate with a medium finish.
Culinary recommendation
It goes well with pasta dishes, hearty meat dishes and well-aged cheese.
Vinification
Vinified using the traditional Bordeaux method. Fermentation for 8 to 10 days on the mash at 28°C in stainless steel tanks. Some (20%) of the wine is aged in 34 to 42 hl oak barrels, while 80% of the wine is aged over 10 months in two to three-year barriques.
