About the wine
We have a special, outstanding red wine from 2014 for you, which is loved by many wine connoisseurs. Picturesque and fertile landscapes of Piedmont give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Poderi Colla conjures up this red wine with refinement and sensitivity. Tasting note
Intense, rich ruby with purple reflections. On the nose, a wonderfully open, complex scent with lots of ripe fruit, red berries, especially strawberries, floral notes and fresh wood and roasted aromas. Beautifully full-bodied, fleshy and juicy on the palate, with crunchy tannins, lots of melting and an inspiring finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with a plate of pasta with ragù, soups and stews
Vinification
The Barbera grapes come from their own Roncaglia estate. After the strictly selective harvest, the grapes are destemmed and lightly crushed immediately upon arrival at the winery. Fermentation takes place in steel tanks, followed by aging in medium-sized oak barrels and barriques for around ten months.
