About the wine

In the 1970s, following the sudden death of her father, Andrea took over the then tiny business, began bottling her own wine back in 1978 and finally, with a keen sense and patience, acquired excellent sites in La Morra, Alba, Barolo and Cherasco over the decades and expanded the family business to 16 ha. In the last 15 to 20 years in particular, father Andrea and son Fabio have established themselves at the top of Piedmont. From Dolcetto to Barolo, it rained down prizes and awards. And so, year after year, they delight us with outstanding wines, because of their noble restraint and unpretentious approach, experience rather than ideology! But without any fuss and expensive escapades. World class at decent prices!

Tasting note
Tasting this wine is like attending a solemn ceremony. Very calm and dignified, not much is said, everything is very quiet, discreet and clear, and yet very dense and significant, the dark berry fruit, including plums, everything here is perfectly arranged, perfectly shaped, dignified, the notes of tar, peat, forest soil in the sweet fruit. On the palate, the ceremony begins with dark, sweet balance, sublime, the meaning is easy to feel, dense and soft on the palate, how steamy is then transferred into the serious passages, how gently the fine tart tannins and the tart fresh herbal notes are spread out here, how much sensitivity and tact, great. A great, rich Barolo, so much dignity, wisdom, elegance!
Culinary recommendation

Vinification
Selective very late harvest and rigorous selection by hand, drying the berries briefly over 24 hours. Complete destemming and very long maceration, fermentation and fermentation with the vineyard's own yeasts in wooden barrels. Ageing and aging for 26 months in various wooden barrels, some of them new barrique barrels, two months in stainless steel tanks and finally 6 months in the bottle. Less than 4000 bottles.
