About the wine
If we can offer something special for Easter 2020, it's this strong Chardonnay 2017 Cavalli Cremello. The winemaker from the South African winery Tenuta degli Dei - Roberto Cavalli masters this white wine with sensitivity and intuition in the fertile and magnificent landscape of the coastal region. Culinary tip from Flaschenpost team: This Chardonnay is excellent to serve with poultry or goat cheese.

Tasting note
Complex aromas of white and yellow fruits, dried flowers, honeysuckle and vanilla. The palate is slender yet complex, with distinctive acidity and freshness and a subtle richness.

Very nice wine with an aperitif.
Vinification
Cremello by Cavalli is part of the premium range of three Cavalli wines. It is a blend of Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay, Verdelho and Viognier. The Cremello wine embodies the philosophy of Cavalli Wine & Vineyard - to produce world-class wines with a very local character and strong identity, to be recognized as Helderberg and to be the benchmark for the Helderberg in terms of terroir and quality in the coming years. All four components were pressed as whole grapes and fermented in French oak barrels, with the exception of a small proportion of Verdelho, which was fermented in the concrete egg. The further ageing took place for 12 months on fermentation yeast in 30% new and used French oak barrels, neutral wooden barrels and concrete eggs.
