The strong Chardonnay 2018 — Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru ac is the missing puzzle piece on your wine rack. The loamy, gravelly soils in Burgundy offer the winemaker from the French winery Domaine Jacques Prieur everything he needs to live out his craft and produce a wine for discerning connoisseurs. Tasting note
Intense shiny straw yellow with golden reflections. On the nose, beguiling with intense and complex minerality, notes of citrus peel and ripe Williams pears are accompanied by a touch of exoticism. Very complex on the palate with a mineral start and fine notes of ripe yellow fruits, exquisite roasted aromas, some caramel, very juicy and perfectly integrated acidity. Shows a wonderful length and great potential.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with festive dishes with lobster, crawfish, oysters and other seafood, as well as a veal cutlet with a rich side dish.
Vinification
The Chardonnay grapes from Grand Cru Lage Montrachet are picked by hand and rigorously sorted. The alcoholic and malolactic fermentation of the must takes place in wooden barrels on the yeast. Further expansion will be completed in Piècen over a period of 17 months.
