Tasting note
The 10 Year Old Rare Tawny has a deep yellow color with green-gold tones that show the age. It has a rich, nutty and complex bouquet, consisting of ripe grape aromas, oak and a touch of brandy. A true “port” is a wine with a high consistency, full flavour, perfectly balanced with a slightly dry finish. The great length of the complex aromas emphasize the integration of fruit and oak.

Vinification
Grant Burge was born into a family of winemakers in 1951, and it soon became apparent that he had an exceptional talent for wine production. He studied with the best in South Australia before founding his own winery at the age of 26. In just ten years, his name became one of Australia's most coveted and renowned. Countless awards, including Australia's highest award, the Jimmy Watson Trophy, testify to his success.A classic Australian “port” of elegant style. The tawny consists of the typical Australian port grapes Grenache, Shiraz and Mourvedre. In order to obtain the optimal fruit aroma, the wine was fermented on the skin and underwent an extensive 10-year aging in small oak barrels.
