About the wine
The magnificent and enchanting landscapes of the Duero Valley (Castilla y Leon) give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Spanish winery El Regajal conjures up this red wine with refinement and experience. With the fresh Tempranillo 2019 — Galia Le Dean, you can offer your guests something very special. Flaschenpöstler tip: Combine this Tempranillo with lasagna or red meat.

Tasting note
Galia — which sounds Italian, looks French, but is in fact a proud Spaniard: The personal project of French oenologist Jerome Bougnaud, who works for Pingus, among others. Le Dean comes from two exclusive vineyards with calcareous soils in Ribera del Duero. An old vineyard planted in 1920 in Quintanilla de Onésimo (Valladolid), near Vega Sicilia, with Tempranillo and Albillo on a north-facing slope, and Hontangas (Burgos), an old vineyard with Tempranillo on a north-east facing slope, which promotes slow and fresh maturation. Le Dean expresses the calcareous minerality of the old vineyards on the Duero River. The fragrance fan is opulently and complex and is reminiscent of blackberries, black cherries, Damascus scented roses, some black pepper and graphite. On the palate, this elegant, juicy and warm Spaniard has good structure and a close-meshed, velvety tannin. Dark berry again, interwoven with Mediterranean and balsamic aromas.
Culinary recommendation
