Tasting note
The 2020 La Sirène de Giscours in garnet purple robe is tremendously sophisticated and full of energy and finesse. It reveals intense aromas of blackberries, blackcurrants and violets accompanied by spicy notes and light notes of undergrowth, pencil mines and sautéed herbs. Medium to full-bodied on the palate with slightly crunchy tannins and lots of freshness.
Culinary recommendation
Our recommendation: The red wine tastes best at a slightly chilled temperature of 16°-18°C. Flaschenpöstler tip: La Sirène de Giscours A.O.P., wooden box is ideal for red meat, Gruyère burgers and pizza with mushrooms.
Vinification
17 months in new (50%) and used (50%) French barriques.
