About the wine
The Colomé vineyards, at the foot of the Andes, stretch from 2200 to 3015 meters above sea level, making them the highest in the world. There is a very dry climate here and water is available for 300 to 350 hectares of vines. The property in Colomé covers 39,000 hectares. Tasting note
The Malbec Lote Especial fragrance spectrum of coffee, chocolate and leather shows aromatic complexity and plenty of pleasure potential. The distinctive nuances of black cherry, plum and raspberry create their individual texture. Powerful body and distinctive acidity result in the red wine, which shows a lot of character and class harmoniously with fine tannins in the mouth.
Culinary recommendation
It goes very well with game dishes or with a double entrecote and hard cheese.
Vinification
A few words about vinification: The Lote collection stands for individual bottlings of Colomé with different soil profiles. The Lote Colomé is from a 10-year-old single vineyard and is the main wine of Colomé. All vines are planted with European rootstock.
