The ripe Merlot grapes are carefully picked by hand from a loamy limestone vineyard from 2011. The vinification takes place in a cement container, without selected and added yeasts. The wine is refined in barriques for a further 16 months. Acidity 5.44 g/l; dry extract 36.5 g/l. A red that is as dense as it is bright is immediately the focus. On the nose, a wonderful bouquet of caramel and vanilla unfolds on a bed of dark fruits such as plums and very ripe cherries. The ageing in barriques creates a discreet wood content that combines finely with vanilla and the typical fruit notes. The taste is dominated by ripe red fruits, which in harmonious interaction with the acid component contribute to a pleasant and lasting taste experience. In the mouth, it is lush and rich, with soft and fine tannins despite the majestic texture. The perfect balance along the wood-fruit axis crowns a great wine with a remarkable finish.
