Ninfa Marche IGT 2021 - Velenosi Ercole Vitivinicola Ascoli Piceno

About the wine

Fertile and blooming landscapes in the Marche region give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Velenosi Ercole Vitivinicola Ascoli Piceno conjures up this red wine with refinement and sensitivity. With this powerful Cabernet Sauvignon 2020 — Ninfa Marche IGT, the term taste takes on a new meaning. Culinary tip from Flaschenpöstler: This Cabernet Sauvignon can be served very well with Gruyère burgers or ribeye steak.

Velenosi Ercole Vitivinicola Ascoli PicenoRed wine | 75cl50% Montepulciano, 20% Syrah, 15% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon
Tasting note
Intense ruby red with purple reflections. The aromas are deep and long-lasting: aromas of pickled fruit, blackberries, cherries, a touch of licorice and graphite, black pepper and tobacco. Balsamic nuances complete the complex, persistent and elegant bouquet. On the palate, the wine appears warm, elegant and shows a rich development of taste. A treat for the palate with fine and soft tannins. Long-lasting aftertaste.
Culinary recommendation
For pizza with mushrooms, Gruyère burgers and ribeye steak, Flaschenpöstler recommends this Ninfa Marche IGT.
Vinification
Vinification in small stainless steel tanks. The mash is fermented individually for each grape variety with different fermentation times: 15 days for Merlot, 20-25 days for Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon and approx. 30 days for Montepulciano. The maturation takes place in new 300 liter barrels for 18 to 24 months. The final assemblage takes place at the end of ageing, followed by 3-month bottle storage after bottling.
