Petite Arvine, a very unmistakable white wine from Valais - very concentrated, pineapple and grapefruit on the nose, also somewhat reminiscent of sherry on the tongue, precisely because of the typical salty note in the finish. It opens up young, but could age for decades without loss like hardly any other dry white wine, a result of the harsh conditions in the steep and stony vineyards, which leads to scarce yields and high concentrations of minerals.
