About the wine
The Grey family has been taking care of the land for four generations. The 50-hectare cultivated area is located on the South Island of New Zealand in Nelson. The vineyards are thus located in the geographical center of New Zealand, the Middle Earth of J.R.R. Tolkien, so to speak.

Tasting note
The wine has a stimulating scent of red cherries, raspberries, red currants and cloves. A gentle, balanced acidity enhances the taste of chocolate, cherries and plums. Fine, velvety tannins add structure to the wine.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with grilled salmon, duck, game and mushroom dishes.
Vinification
Matured at 40% in tonneleir Rousseau hogs heads, the rest in stainless steel tanks with barrel rods made of Hungarian wood. Hungarian cask rods add an extra dimension to the fragrance with a very subtle influence on the structure of the wine. 10 months on the fine yeast. Bottled unembellished and only slightly filtered.
