About the wine
The 6-hectare Quinta do Cume has a state-of-the-art wine press — the realm of oenologist Jean-Hugues Gros. He had studied at the Ecole des Vins de Bourgogne before working in wine-growing regions in Morocco, California, Bordeaux and Champagne, and finally chose the Douro Valley, where he worked with great success.
Tasting note
Bright ruby color with aromas of red and dark berry fruits such as raspberries and plums. A wine with a fine structure and at the same time incredibly refreshing. Concentrated in the mouth with a lingering finish.
Culinary recommendation
Excellent with good steak, duck breast, suckling pig or large roasts from the oven.
Vinification
The wine matures for 12 months in 50% new and 50% in used French barriques.
