Tasting note
The nose is plush and smells of blackcurrant, red cherry, dried peach and anise. The palate is medium-bodied with firm, fine tannins and hints of dark chocolate. Finish with a fresh but persistent aftertaste.

Goes great with Italian cuisine such as pasta or pizza.
Vinification
Botrivier has a Mediterranean climate, which means longer growing seasons with moderate to warm temperatures. The conditions that led to the 2017 harvest were hot and dry for the second year in a row, resulting in smaller berries and even more concentrated flavors. All grapes were picked by hand and pressed as whole bundles. Fermentation and ageing took place in barrels and tanks, maturation for 12 months in second and third bottling barrels.
