About the wine
The name of the château suggests that wine was produced here as early as the 17th century when the Benedictine abbey was built. Vines grew around the buildings on the various slopes, formerly known as “combes.” They gave the name to Vieux Château des Combes. Nowadays, the château is surrounded by vines, trees and a 0.5 hectare pond. The winery has retained its dignity and tranquility as a place of reflection. Perfect for making a high quality Saint-Emilion Grand Cru
