About the wine
We have a special, discreet white wine from 2017 for you, which is a source of enthusiasm among many wine connoisseurs. The wine-growing regions of the French winery Michel Gassier stretch across the landscapes of the Côtes du Rhône, where the experienced winemaker produces this white wine. Flaschenpost team tip: Combine this Viognier with roasted poultry with lemon sauce or potatoes.
Tasting note
Bright yellow with golden reflections. Aromas of ripe fruit, apricot, peach and candied citrus fruits. Aromatic, balanced and soft with a beautifully integrated acidity. Long and fruity finish.
Culinary recommendation
Flaschenpost team tip: Viognier goes well with fondue, potatoes and roasted poultry with lemon sauce.
Vinification
Yield limitation by breaking out and stinging out. Green harvesting to optimise the ripening and health of the grapes. Hand picked with selection of the berries. Cold mash fermentation of 24 hours. Static cold deposit in an air-protected tank. Maceration for five days at 18 °C. Ageing on the lees with regular stirring until Christmas. Fining, filtration and bottling in March.
