About the wine
The Davaz family's parental winery in Fläsch was not large enough to guarantee an income for the two sons, and so Johannes Davaz moved to the Poggio al Sole estate near Tavernelle, acquired in 1990. Trained in Wädenswil, he and his wife rebuilt the run-down property and let it shine in its former glory. The efforts have paid off. Poggio al Sole, with its honest, straightforward and typical wines, is currently one of the absolute top companies in Chianti Classico.

Goes well with red meat, cheese and meditation.
