About the wine
Tenuta Castello di Grumello is located in the heart of the hills of Bergamo, between Bergamo and Lake Iseo. It is a winery of about 37 hectares with the limestone-based loamy soil. The hill benefits from a microclimate that is particularly suitable for growing fine vines. The elegant and refined “Colle Calvario” from the Schloss Grumello winery is one of the best Valcalepio Rosso DOC in the Riserva category. It comes from particularly suitable vineyards in the hills of the Bergamo area, with yields of about 40-50 quintals per hectare. After a strict selection of grapes, it matures in barriques and is refined in the bottle.
