François Carillon runs his domain in Puligny-Montrachet, taken over from father Louis, under his own name. And this name is almost concept, because literally translated Carillon means glockenspiel. The wines of François, who knows exactly what he wants, are also bell-clear: Elegance and balance are the magic words, the use of new wood is discreet. The crystalline mineral has an invigorating effect. Pure fresh Chardonnay fruit with impressive presence and length characterize his wines from Puligny and Chassagne, at the level of Premier Crus, the melting and depth fascinate.
