About the wine
With the special Quinta do Mouro VR from 2012, you will positively surprise your guests. Sunny and picturesque landscapes of the Alentejo give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Portuguese winery Quinta do Mouro conjures up this red wine with refinement and sensitivity.
Tasting note
Loaded in color, it is a wine of great aromatic complexity. In the mouth, it is full-bodied, with a good structure, an excellent balance of very pure fruit and vegetable notes, and above all very fresh, which you hardly find in Alentejo. With its long aftertaste, it is undoubtedly a gastronomic wine with a strong identity.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with beef, game and barbecues.
Vinification
Hand harvest in 20 kg boxes. Pre-fermentative cold maceration, then grapes mashed with feet. Fermentation in stainless steel vats with temperature control, long maceration after fermentation. Gentle pressing with a vertical press. 14 months in French and Portuguese 300L oak barrels, 50% new.
