About the wine
Picturesque landscapes of the Moselle-Saar-Ruwer region give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the German winery Kirsten conjures up this white wine with refinement and sensitivity. Vinification
The grapes all come from a plant with vines that are approx. 100 years old. The planting year was 1904, hence the name of the wine. This makes the vineyard one of the few root plants on the Moselle. In addition, the vines still belong to the original clones, which have largely disappeared. As a result, the already low yields fluctuate greatly. The grapes are harvested by hand at selection level and gently brought to the winery. Gently processed there and fermented with wild yeasts in large wooden barrels. The wine is then stored in the wood for approx. 6 months until it is bottled. This wine is a rarity, as there are few producers who can produce such products.
