Tasting note
The spicy aromas of Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Corte SantAnna DOCG of black pepper and vanilla express a lot of finesse with a very special structure. The playful nuances of raspberry and green pepper then show their own character. A fruity red wine with a medium-bodied body and dominant acidity, which develops its complex structure harmoniously with finely developed tannins on the tongue and in the palate. This top wine received the award: Decanter: 97/100.
Culinary recommendation
Flaschenpöstler recommends this Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Corte SantAnna DOCG for game, recent cheeses and hearty meat dishes.
Vinification
A few words about the vinification: The carefully selected grapes all come from the vineyards around Corte Sant'Anna, where the vines root on tuff stone soils. After being picked by hand, they dry for about four months in our own dry cellar. The grapes are dried and the aromas are concentrated. The fermentation process then takes place at cool temperatures. The wine is then aged in 50-hl oak barrels for around 18 months.
