About the wine
If we can offer something special for Christmas 2021, it's this outstanding Nebbiolo 2016 — Barbaresco DOCG Meruzzano. Blooming and picturesque landscapes of Piedmont give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Orlando Abrigo conjures up this red wine with refinement and sensitivity. Flaschenpost team tip: Combine this Nebbiolo with truffle risotto or pizza.
Tasting note
On the nose, notes of fresh black cherries and aromatic and balsamic herbs. Compact on the palate and already as a young wine with soft tannins.
Culinary recommendation
Spicy cheeses, red meat main courses, game.
Vinification
It is produced according to a philosophy of conservative enology, which aims to respect and improve the grape as the only true source of quality. Gentle pressing, maceration with the skins for about 10-15 days in containers that allow temperature control. After pumping over, the wine is bottled in 500 liter French oak tonneaux, in which it matures for 12 to 15 months.
