About the wine
A must for connoisseurs, this snappy Nebbiolo 2014 — Barolo 'Conca' DOCG! Picturesque and blooming landscapes of Piedmont give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Cantina RATTI conjures up this red wine with refinement and sensitivity. Vinification
The Conca (basin) dell'Abbazia is one of the oldest subdivisions of the Barolo zone. The Benedictines knew the particular advantages of soil and microclimate. The vineyards are south-east oriented. The vines are 10 years old and are located 240 m above sea level. The soils, known locally as “tortoniano”, have lime and marl components. The wine is initially aged for 12 months in barriques, then for a further 12 months in 25 hl barrels. Acidity: 5.67 g/l; dry extract: 27.9 g/l.
