About the wine
With the strong white wine 2020 — Creation Chenin Blanc Cool Climate, nuances and accents are redefined. The winemaker from the South African winery Creation Wines greets us with this wine, which he grows in the countryside. The Flaschenpost team promise a culinary experience when you serve this chenin blanc with puff pastry or meatballs in tomato sauce.

Tasting note
The tenderest shade of wild primrose plays hide and seek with hints of lime and rhubarb. A bouquet of soft ginger, tender tomato leaves, apple peel and sweet melon captivates the first visitor. On the palate, the magic unfolds with crunchy quince and fresh green apples, which flirt with tangy citrus notes. A Chenin Blanc from a cool climate that is remarkable in its purity and in its joyful complexity.
Culinary recommendation
Goes great with “waterblommetjies” ravioli filled with roasted tomatoes, citrus cream and grated coconut, or pork belly with sautéed spring onions and burnt oranges.
Vinification
A winemaker from Biel in the South African wine paradise - In 2002, the Neuchâtel winemaker Jean-Claude “JC” Martin (formerly Domaine les Grillettes) founded the “Creation Wines” winery near Hermanus with his wife Carolyn, South African with generations of winegrowing ancestors. As a member of the Biodiversity & Wine Initiative, Creation Wines is committed to protecting and preserving natural biodiversity. Whole grape pressing, barrel fermentation at 18°C, 7 months on fine yeast, no malolactic fermentation. Aging in barrels for 7 months in older French oak.
