Tasting note
The playful aromas of Primitivo Truppere IGT Salento of black plum, apricot and anise express a great deal of finesse with a very special structure. The fruity nuances of raspberry, black cherry and blueberry then reveal their own character. With subdued, pleasantly developed tannins, a medium-strong body and distinctive acidity, this red wine presents its flawless structure.
Culinary recommendation
Recommended by Flaschenpöstlern: Primitivo Truppere IGT Salento goes well with spicy hard cheese, red meat and brasato. Our recommendation: The red wine tastes best at slightly chilled 16°-18°C.
Vinification
Traditionell werden die Primitivo-Rebstöcke als Alberello Pugliese erzogen, so reifen die Trauben optimal auf dem kalkreichen Boden und verbrennen nicht im warmen Klima. Ausgebaut wird der Wein für mindestens drei Monate im Holz.
