Tasting note
The wine reflects a bright golden color with a shade of green. Ripe peach, honey and lime notes dominate the aromas. A beautiful, creamy, structured and balanced finish frames this wine.
Culinary recommendation
Fantastic wine to pair with a salty hard cheese or a blue cheese. But it also accompanies desserts with caramel notes and vanilla very well.
Vinification
The vineyards are located on the south-east-facing slopes of the Elgin Valley. The soil is mainly Bokkeveld slate, the vineyard is latticed and has access to additional irrigation. The tarubs infested with botrytis are pressed as whole bundles and filled into barrels in the juice. The alcoholic fermentation lasts about 10 months until it ends naturally. 500l puncheons and new 300l oak barrels were used for fermentation. Only 3400 were produced, of which 1200 bottles were produced for maturation and later release.
