Tasting note
In particularly good years, Gianfranco Fini produces a sweet wine from part of the Primitivo harvest: Es più sole. The grapes come from the 1.3-hectare Mesckinella vineyard from vines that are 60 years old on average and are raised in the Alberello system. The yield per plant is 200 grams and the late harvested grapes are destemmed by hand. The berries are fermented in 600-liter French oak barrels. It takes two weeks. The pomace hat is stabbed four times a day. The wine then matures in barriques for nine months. Around 1200 37.5 centiliter vials are bottled.
