About the wine
A must for connoisseurs, this provocative Monastrell 2015 — Juan Gil 12 Month! Wonderful landscapes in Levante give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Spanish winery Bodegas Juan Gil conjures up this red wine with refinement and sensitivity. Flaschenpöstler tip: Combine this Monastrell with brasato or spare ribs.
Tasting note
Youthful color. Initially somewhat closed, after ventilation, showing a beautiful and pure bouquet: Dark fruit, spicy notes, also reminiscent of fine herbs. Full, rich and full-bodied in taste, but very balanced and finely structured. Nice aromatic persistence, ends with a fine vanilla note from barrique aging.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with roasts, grilled meat, steak, risotto, mushrooms, poultry.
Vinification
Die Vinifikation fand wie folgt statt: Aus über 40 jährigen Reben. In kleinen Stahltanks vergoren und danach für 12 Monate in französischen Barriques ausgebaut.
